Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
He was born March 23, 1925, in Mountain, Wis., son of the late William and
Florence Willis Basler. On January 20, 1990, he married Mildred McGrew in
Manitowoc. Mr. Basler was employed at Heresite Protective Coatings Company
for many years until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Basler, Manitowoc; four daughters and
sons-in-law, Lori and Daryl Lanaville, Manitowoc, Gloria and Joe Alaers,
Montana, Sherry and Jerry Blingman, Tina and Al Bruckner, Manitowoc; two
sons and a daughter-in-law, James and Mary Basler, Bob Basler, all of
Manitowoc; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Art and Lil Basler, Menasha,
Gerald and Joyce Basler, Neenah, Harold and Faye Basler, Neenah; a sister,
Florence Lambert, Rhinelander. He is further survived by many grandchildren,
great-grandchildren, four step-children, and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Delores Getchell in
1987, a son, Roger Jr., a grandson, Tim Alaers, three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 5 p.m. Wednesday concluding
with a service at 7 p.m.
