Mrs. Roger (Delores) Basler Sr., 56, of 1110 S. 26th Street, Manitowoc, died
Friday morning, April 178, 1987 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral
services will be 1:30 pm Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home. Rev. Alfred Klumb will
officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Basler, nee Delores Getchell and was born October 8, 1930 at Menominee,
Michigan, daughter of the late Robert and Edna Edwards Getchell. She married
Roger G. Basler Sr. on September 27, 1948 at Marinette, Wisconsin. After their
marriage the couple moved to Manitowoc to reside.
Survivors include her husband, Roger; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Roger
and Kathy Basler Jr., of Cato, James and Mary Basler of Manitowoc and Robert Basler
of Manitowoc; four daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Jerry Bingman of Grand
Rapids, Michigan, Gloria and Joseph Alears of Roundup, Montana, Lori and Thomas
Denor of Manitowoc and Tina and Al Bruckner of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph
Wanek of Marinette, Wisconsin and Mrs. Chester Allen of Menominee, Michigan; 16
grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive. She was
preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
