CHARLES K. BARTON

Charles K. Barton, 73, of 627 N. Fourth St., Manitowoc, died early Wednesday
morning, November 12, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m.
at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. William Zimmer will
officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth. [later removed to Evergreen cemetery]

Mr. Barton was born Oct. 23, 1907, at Zagreb, Yugoslovia, son of the late Vincent
and Mary Bartony. He immigrated with his parents to the United States as a child, settling at Hamtramck, Mich., where he attended schools and was graduated from high school. He moved to Manitowoc in 1954 and married the former Lillian Vandenberg Kadow Oct. 30, 1965, at Brimley, Mich. A carpenter with Local 849 he retired in 1972 and was a member of Shoto Conservation Club, Senior Citizens and Carpenters Local 849.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian; a son, R. Roger Kadow and three daughters and a son-in-law, Sandra Piron, Karen and Milton Bashaw and Brenda Ann Barton of Manitowoc; a brother, John Bartony of Detroit, Mich., and three grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, where a prayer service will be at 7 p.m.
