Walter F. (Bud) Baetke, 63, of 204 Reed Ave., Manitowoc, died Sunday evening,
July 7, 1991, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, and
10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Rev. William Zimmer
will preside at the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery.
He was born on October 20, 1927, in Manitowoc, son of the late Walter F. Baetke
Sr. and Mary Handel Baetke. He married the former Jeanne LaFond, May 11, 1957,
at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Green Bay. He was a graduate of Lincoln High
School, Manitowoc, Class of 1945, and also a graduate of Marquette University.
He was a Veteran serving in The United States Army as a Corporal in World War II
and also The Korean Conflict. He was employed for over 32 years at Eck Foundry,
retiring as Vice President in 1991. He was a member of Knights of Columbus
Council 710 of Manitowoc and also a past member of the church council of Sacred
Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Randy Baetke
of Green Bay, James and Carla Baetke of Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law,
Ginny and Robert Matysik of Onalaska, Wis., Gail and Jim Stewart of Chattanooga,
Tenn.; a sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Howard LeClair of Manitowoc;
two grandchildren, Michael and Laura Matysik.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 p.m to 8 p.m. Tuesday,
with a prayer service Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.
