BERNARD AUGUST BAECKMAN

Bernard A. Baeckman, age 93, formerly of 516 N. 4th St., Manitowoc, died
Saturday morning, August 15, 1998, at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 17, 1998, at the Reinbold &
Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Rev. William Plank will officiate with
burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Baeckman was born November 5, 1904, in Manitowoc, son of the late August
and Winifred (Houghton) Baeckman. He attended schools in Manitowoc. Bernard
worked for the Mirro Aluminum Company for many years, retiring in 1970. He
was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law, Ruth (Donald) Cyr, Milwaukee;
two nieces, Patricia (John) Sykora, St. Charles, Ill., Nancy (Dennis) Stein,
Woodbury, Minn. ; one nephew, Francis (Lynn) Cyr, Green Lake, Wis.; three grand
nephews, Chad Stein, Phillip Stein, both of Woodbury, Minn., Nicholas Cyr,
Green Lake, Wis.; and three grandnieces, Paula Stein, New York, N.Y., Teresa
(Ryan) Bundy, St. Charles, Ill., Marie (David) Gatz, Burnsville, Minn. He was
preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Relatives and friends may call at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
A memorial fund has been established for First Presbyterian Church.
