13 YEAR OLD BOY A VICTIM OF THE “FLU”
Arthur(sic), son of Mr. and Mrs. August Baeckman, (illegible) street,
died (illegible)death being due to complications which followed an
illness of influenza. Deceased was the second oldest of a family
of five children and was born in this city thirteen years ago. He
attended the public school here and had always been a bright, healthy
lad until taken ill with the flu. Besides the parents, three brothers,
Bernard, Francis and Elmer and one sister, Irene survive him. The
funeral will be held at 3 o’clock Friday afternoon from the home.
Rev. Axtell officiating and interment will be at Evergreen.
