Hershel Daniel Stroud, 84, of Hattiesburg, died August 6, 2015, at his home. Visitation will be Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Maybank Baptist Church from 1:30 p.m. until the service at 3 p.m. Burial will follow in Rawls Springs Cemetery. Mr. Stroud served in the U.S. Army in the Korean aftermath and was a member of Maybank Baptist Church. He worked at MS Engines in Jackson and was the owner/operator of Adams Bicycle Center. Mr. Stroud was preceded in death by his parents, George Alfred Stroud and Bertha Thelma Thompson Stroud; a brother, George Willard Stroud; and an aunt, Tommie Lucille Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Bennie Ruth Stroud of Hattiesburg; daughters, Mary Denise Stroud Polk (Ronnie) of Hattiesburg, Connie Rene Stroud Woolwine (Richard) of Seminary and Donna Ruth Stroud Clayton (William) of Hattiesburg; a sister, Opal Stroud Garner of Montgomery, LA; grandchildren, John Richard Woolwine, II, Buddy Daniel Woolwine, Brittney Rene Woolwine Powell, Ryan Earl Polk, Steven Daniel Polk, Stacey Nicole Inman Cuevas, Nicholas Scott Inman, Lindsey Marie Inman and Dakota Westbrooks; and great-grandchildren, Kirkleigh Reese Woolwine, John Richard Woolwine, III, Marie Kate Woolwine, Madison Claire Woolwine, Elizabeth Rene Powell, Allie Nicole Cuevas and Gracen Danielle Polk.
