Helen was born July 7, 1919, in Hyrum, Utah, the daughter of Joseph Heinrich and Betty Kirchoff Porath. She married Wilford Woodruff Stagg on July 5, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah, their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, January 18, 1945. Helen was a loving homemaker and a great cook, her family cherished her homemade pies. She was a wonderful mother and wife. Helen loved to travel, and saw the world with her husband. She also loved to golf and was a terrific dancer. She enjoyed many years in Provo Canyon and loved camping, hunting, and fishing with her family. Her passing saddens our hearts and leaves a great void in our lives.
Survivors include: her husband Wilford Woodruff Stagg, of Salt Lake City; three sons and two daughters, Wilford (Suzanne) Stagg, Grantsville; Kenneth (Debbie) Stagg, Sandy; Craig (Paulette) Stagg, West Valley City; Barbara (Bud) Poduska, Orem, Utah, Carol Lauritzen, Salt Lake City; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchil-dren; two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2001, at 11 a.m., at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, UT, where friends may call Friday evening, from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday for one hour prior to the services. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Funeral Directors: The Holbrook Mortuary.
