NAMPA — Requiem Mass for Gilbert Gene Michael, 67, of Route 5, Nampa, who died Tuesday at his home after an extended illness, will be celebrated at St. Paul's Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friday by the Rev. Rubel Archuleta, S.M. Interment will be at Hillcrest. The Rosary will be recited at Alsip Funeral Chapel at 8 tonight.
Mr. Michael was born April 10, 1906, in Esbon, Kan., and was reared in Kansas. He moved to the West when he was 17. He married Ethel Honsowetz at Redmond, Ore., Dec. 23, 1936. He worked for the Boeing Co. in the Seattle area for 18 years. The couple moved to Nampa about three years ago, and he since had worked at several mobile home factories in Boise Valley.
He was an active member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, and an honorary member of Boys Town, Neb.
Surviving in addition to Mrs. Michael ore two sons, Vilo Gene Michael of Burbank, Calif., and Doyle Lane Michael of Denver; three brothers, Verl Michael of Mankato, Kan., Gerald Michael of Nampa, and Joy O. Michael of Burr Oak, Kan.; a sister, Mrs. Vera Clark of Ephrata, Wash., and four grandchildren.
