Vera never married. She worked for the Wisconsin Pharmacy Testing Board her entire working career in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Vera lived and worked with the Sisters at the Milwaukee Catholic Home on Prospect Avenue. For a couple of years she lived with her twin brother Vern at the Baptist Village in Kingston, OK which was near his step-son, Roland R Carter and his wife Dee.
Vera had enormous amounts of energy and soon became bored in Kingston. She moved back to Milwaukee and the Catholic Home and again helped the Sisters from 1988 until her death in 2002.
Vera died at age 91 while living at the home.
