Sam Bower, the father of ten living children, died at his home six miles south of Ava, Sunday morning at ten o'clock after an illness of brain trouble, from which he has suffered the past three weeks.
At the time of death, Mr. Bower was about fifty years old. He leaves his wife and children to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon by Rev. Marion Barringer at the Crain Baptist church near Ava, and interment will be in Crain cemetery.
