Former Holdenville resident Kim Charles "Cowboy" Simpson, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away on July 22, 2012 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Hudson-Phillips Chapel. Burial will follow at Holdenville Cemetery, under the direction of Hudson Phillips Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Starling will officiate. Kim Charles "Cowboy" Simpson was born on October 15th, 1959 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Herman and Margaret (Owens) Simpson. He graduated from Holdenville Schools. He worked for Allseismic Inc. in the oil and gas exploration industry. Kim spent many hours playing with children in his family. He enjoyed cooking and will be remembered as a great cook. Kim was the most kind hearted man you would ever meet and would give you the shirt off his back. Kim never met a stranger and you were instantly his friend upon meeting him. He is preceded in death by his father, and his brother Rodney Simpson. Kim Charles Simpson is survived by his mother, Margaret Simpson of Holdenville; son, Rodney II and wife Kimmi Simpson of Edmond, Oklahoma; sister, Valeri and husband Pepe Chavez of Holdenville; sister, Crystal Bourne of Holdenville; grandchildren, Terry and Kaeden Simpson of Edmond, Oklahoma, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
