WOODROW EARNEST COON
COLUMBUS JCT. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Saturday, Aug. 9, for Woodrow Earnest Coon, 61, who died at 12:15 p.m. Thursday at Veterans Hospital in Iowa City. A former resident of the Commercial Hotel here, he had been living at the Colonial Manor Care Center. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery.
Born Jan. 23, 1914, in rural Washington County, he was a son of Jesse E. and Ella Rath Coon. Mr. Coon was a member of the American Legion Post of Ainsworth.
Survivors include one brother, Lloyd M. Coon, Crawfordsville.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Friday.
