WOODBRIDGE — Funeral services for James F. Somers, 30 Freeman Street, were held Monday morning at 9 o'clock at St. James Church. A mass of requiem was celebrated by Rev. Raymond Griffin. Burial was in St. James Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Own S. Dunigan, Township Clerk B. J. Dunigan, Magistrate Andrew D. Desmond, Michael Holohan, Steven Guerin and William J. Finn.

Mr. Somers died Friday night at Roosevelt Hospital after a long illness. He was a communicant of St. James Church.

He is survived by his widow, Anna Snyder Somers; two daughters, Mrs. John Reilly, Woodbridge and Mrs. Theodore Stevens, Perth Amboy; four sons, Joseph P. Somers, Woodbridge Township Democratic Chairman and president of the Middlesex County Board, Anolent Order ot Hibernians; Lawrence and George, also of Woodbridge and Raymond, Perth Amboy; a brother, Thomas Somers Woodbridge; a sister, Mrs. Mary Gilrain, Metuchen, and eleven grandchildren.
