Her death certificate gives her name as Rhoda Pease, dau. of Capt. Pease, mother not known.
Her marriage to William M. Burris gives her name as Roanna A. Peace in Burleson Co., TX 8 Aug. 1868.
Find her on 1860 Williamson Co., TX Census with name indexed as Raucan S. Peace (appears to be Ranean A. Peace); dau. of Willie J. & Lucy Peace.
She and William apparently had no children.

Although William and Rhoda Burris never had children together, they apparently had an adopted daughter. William died in 1907. In the 1920 census, his widow Rhoda appears living with a step-daughter, Amy Hester Lawhon. Amy was married to Elva Lawhon at the time. Amy's death certificate shows her father as William Burris, but the mother is Susie Taylor. I believe that she knew who her biological mother was but did not know who the biological father was. I don't believe that William was her biological father, as Amy appears in the 1900 census and is listed as William's step-daughter. Amy then appears in the 1910 census as Amy Kemper and is listed as the daughter of TJ and Ora Kemper. I don't think that she was actually their daughter, as she was listed out of order with the other children.
