Obit of Louise J. Johnson:
Mrs. Louise J. Johnson, 79, a resident of Moline for forty years, died at 2:30 yesterday in the home of a son, Edward Johnson, 1718 Tenth Avenue, East Moline, with whom she had resided since last February. Mrs. Johnson had been ill a short time.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon in Esterdahl chapel. The Rev. Maynard Force, pastor of Calvary Lutheran church, will officiate. Burial will be in Valhalla cemetery.
Louise Johanna Peterson was born in Sweden on March 27, 1857. She came to the United States fifty-one years ago and moved to Moline in 1896. She was married to August Johnson in Sweden fifty-eight years ago. Mrs. Johnson was a Lutheran by faith.
Surviving are a son, Edward Johnson of East Moline; six daughters, Mrs. Peter (Anna) Vershaw, Mrs. Ella Stoaks and Mrs. Minnie Sittler, all of Moline. Mrs. Tillie Phelps and Mrs. M. R. (Eva) Haines, both of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. George (Sylvia) Jacquin of Milwaukee, Wis.; twenty grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, and a brother, Carl A. Peterson of Galesburg.
