John W. Aulik, 81, formerly of 1232 S. 31st St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday
afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m.
at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. John Hephner will officiate
with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Aulik was born Feb. 18, 1894, in the town of Bibson (sic), Manitowoc County,
son of the late Frank and Frances Hlmak Aulik. He married Julia Fictum June 17,
1918, at St. Mary Church, Tisch Mills. They farmed in the Town of Gibson from 1918
to 1932 when they moved to Manitowoc. He retired from Mirro Aluminum Co. Manitowoc,
in 1959. Mr. and Mrs. Aulik celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary June 17, 1975.
Mrs. Aulik preceded him in death June 30, 1975.
Survivors include three sons, Clarence, of Manitowoc, Woodrow, of Francis Creek and
Russell, of Falls Church, Va.; three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Clara) Pollen and Mrs.
Bernice Van De Hey, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Thomas (Shirley) Larson, of Francis Creek;
a brother, Joseph, of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Caroline Dufeck, of Denmark, 17
grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in
death. Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, where a
wake service will be at 8 p.m. by members of Daughters of Isabella.
