Herbert Anrdt Dies Suddenly
Herbert T. Arndt, 54, of 954 South 29th street, an accountant at the Manitowoc
Ship Building company for 28 years, and since the past December employed in the
office of the Standard Oil company here, died suddenly of a heart attack about
11:15 this morning.
(The) manager here, said that Arndt L.V. Titera, Standard Oil(sic) had been to a
local bank and was walking from his car to the company's office at 1121 Buffalo
street when he fell over. Coroner Theodore Teitgen pronounced him death of a
heart attack a short time later.
Arndt, a naval veteran of Wrld War I, was a past adjutant of the Drews-Bleser
post American Legion, and was secretary of the Manitowoc chapter No. 16, of the
Royal Arch Masons. It was announced that Wednesday evening's Masonic meeting has
been cancelled because of the death.
The body was taken to the Frazier mortuary. Funeral arrangements are incomplete
and will be published with a complete obituary Wednesday.
