Emil A. Arndt, 83, of 1107 S. 8th Street, Manitowoc, died Sunday, March 31, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Arno J. Wolfgramm will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Arndt was born December 24, 1901, at Cleveland, Wisconsin, son of the late Ernst and Anna Wenderski Arndt. He grew up and attended schools in the Cleveland area, moving to Manitowoc later and residing here since. He married Esther A. Braun on June 27, 1931, at Manitowoc. Mr. Arndt was a Mason, working for various contractors in Manitowoc all his life. He was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Esther; a sister, Selma O'Malley of Manitowoc, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Rudolph and a sister, Margaret Illg.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday until 11 a.m. and then at the church from noon to the time of services. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
