AMANDA ARNDT

Mrs. Amanda M. Arndt, 63, of 954 S. 29th St., Manitowoc, died Friday
night at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, where she had been a patient
since March.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John Evangelical and
Reformed Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Paul Blaufuss will officiate and
burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
The former Amanda Schmitt was born at Manitowoc, where she lived her
life, Nov. 8, 1892, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schmitt.
She was married Aug. 30, 1922, to Herbert T. Arndt. He died May 18,
1948. Mrs. Arndt was a member of the Drews-Bleser American Legion Post
Auxiliary and the Ladies Aid Society of the church.
She is survived by three sons (private); a brother, Arthur of Manitowoc
and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 2 p.m.
Sunday until 11 a.m. Monday when the casket will be moved to the church
where the body will lie in state until the hour of service.
