GEORGE ANTHOLD
George Anthold, 65, of Rt. 5, Manitowoc, a deacon and Sunday School teacher
in the First Baptist Church, Manitowoc, died early Monday at the Holy Family
Hospital, Manitowoc, where he had been a patient two weeks.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Urbanek and Schlei
Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Harvey Rakow will officiate and burial will
be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born May 21, 1890, in Kossuth, son of the late Mr. and Mr. Charles
Anthold. He married Miss Erma Specht Sept. 12, 1922, and they located on a farm
in Kossuth. A deacon of the First Baptist Church, he served as superintendent
of the Sunday School for 25 years.
Surviving are his wife; three daughters, (private); brother Erwin of Rt. 5,
Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. William Muesel and Mrs. Frank Streitenberger of
Milwaukee; and seven grandchildren.
