MICHAEL ANHALT
Michael E. Anhalt, 69, of 1119 S. 17th St., Manitowoc, died Monday afternoon,
January 4, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 1 p.m.
at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Theodore J. Hendricks will
celebrate the Mass of Resurrection and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Anhalt was born April 4, 1912, at Grimms, Wis., son of the late Anton and
Mary Rath Anhalt. He married Esther Zapfe June 15, 1946, at Manitowoc. The couple
resided at Manitowoc, where Mr. Anhalt was first employed with Lakeside Packing
Company and later with Mirro Corporation.
He retired in 1974.
Survivors include his wife, Esther, a son, Allan Anhalt of Madison; a daughter
and son-in-law, Ruth and James Haese of Manitowoc; a brother and sister-in-law,
Joseph and Marie Anhalt of Route 2, Two Rives; a sister, Mrs. Ann Dembski of
Manitowoc and nieces and nephews. A brother, George, preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. A prayer
service will be at 7 p.m.
