JAMES, "JIMMIE" ANDREWS, PIONEER OF CITY AND FOR YEARS WATCHMAN GOODRICH CO: DEAD
James Andrews, familiarly known as "Jimmie," a pioneer resident of the city and
for many years watchman for the Goodrich Transit Company at the local docks here,
is dead at Antigo, Mr. Andrews demise occurring at the home of his daughter, Mrs.
J. Meyer, with whom he had resided since the death of his wife in this city some
years ago.
"Jimmie" Andrews was one of the best known pioneers of the city and for a long
term of years was retained in the employ of the Goodrich Co. He was nearly 90 years
of age and is survived by a daughter and son. The body will be brought here from
Antigo at noon Saturday and funeral services will be held under auspices of
Chicerming lodge, I.O.O.F. at Frazier's hall. Interment will be at Evergreen.
