Mrs. Nels Anderson, 85, of 710 N. 10th St., Manitowoc, died in her
sleep early Wednesday morning.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Mittnacht Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, with the Rev. Myron Hoff officiating. Burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Anderson, the former Rose Kovarik, was born Aug. 23, 1874, in
the Town of Gibson, daughter of the late John and Frances Biely
Kovarik. She attended Melnik schools and was married in 1898 to Herman
Biermann at Manitowoc. He was drowned in Lake Michigan that year. In
1901, she was married to Nels Anderson, and he died in 1940.
A sister, Mrs. Emma Manthey, of Manitowoc, with whom she had lived
the past 20 years, survives in addition to a number of nieces and
nephews.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
