Miss Henrietta Anderson, 76, formerly of 711 N. Seventh St., Manitowoc, died Monday at Manitowoc County Hospital where she had been a patient two months.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church Chapel, Manitowoc. The Rev. Vernon L. Anderson will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Miss Anderson was born Dec. 17, 1886, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Peter and Bertha Hanson Anderson. She was educated in public schools and was graduated from the old North Side High School. She was graduated from St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minn., and began to teach at St. Ansgar, Iowa, in 1907. In 1937, she returned to Manitowoc and taught English, Latin and mathematics at Woodrow Wilson Junior High School, where she also was the librarian. She was transferred to Lincoln High School as an assistant librarian in 1951, remaining and retiring Jan. 1, 1953.
Miss Anderson was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Ladies Guild and Rachel Circle of the church.
Surviving is a sister, Miss Hannah Anderson, of Manitowoc. Two sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, until 10 a.m. Wednesday when the casket will be moved to the church chapel where the body will lie in state until the time of service.
