On Sat. morning watchmaker Anderson(sic) failed to open his place of business on the
corner of 8th and Quay Streets, and when nothing had been seen of him by noon, the
door was broken in and he was found dead on the floor. A coroner's inquest was held
and it was the testimony of Dr. Luhmann that Anderson had died a natural
death. He had been suffering from stomach cancer. The deceased was born in
Norway and had been a longtime resident of our city, and he often spoke of wishing
to make a return visit to his homeland, but it was not to be. He was about 63 yrs. of
age. The burial took place Tues.
