Mrs. Irma Alter, 76, of 906 N. 12th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Schneider-Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. George Knutson will officiate with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Alter, nee Irma Meyer, was born March 4, 1899, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late John and Ida Fetter Meyer. She was married to Clarence Alter June 23, 1926, at Manitowoc. He preceded her in death in December of 1972. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star Auxiliary and American Legion Drews Bleser Post 88 Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Audrey) Schmidt, of Middleton and Margaret Alter, of Manitowoc; two brothers, Fred J. Meyer, of Manitowoc and John Meyer, of Federal Way, Wash.; four sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Lillian) Kaufman, of Kenosha, Mrs. Elmer (Mollie) Pfefferkorn and Mr. Milton (Dorothy) Detjen, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Ivan (Lorraine) McLaughlin, of McKinney, Texas, and six grandchildren.
Friends may call at Schneider-Mittnacht Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. The casket will remain closed. Memorials may be made to Holy Family or Memorial hospitals, Manitowoc.
