Mrs. Carl W. Alt, 80, of 1330 S. Ninth St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning
at home after a heart attack.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John United Church of Christ,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Paul H. Blaufuss will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Alt, nee Anna Sancy, was born April 1, 1885, at Greenleaf, Brown County,
daughter of the late William and Sophia Bonsack Sancy. She attended rural
school near Greenleaf and was married to Carl W. Alt, April 25, 1906, in the
Town of Chase, Oconto County. They lived at Green Bay 13 years and came to
Manitowoc in 1922.
The couple celebrated the golden anniversary of their wedding in 1956.
She is survived by her husband, a son, Harold C., of White Bear Lake, Minn.,
a sister, Mrs. Charles Ludwig, of Manitowoc, four grandchildren and six great
grandchildren. Friends may call at Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after
3 p.m. Wednesday until 11 a.m. Thursday when the casket will be moved to the
church where the body will lie in state until time of service.
