JOHN ALLWARDT
John Allwardt, 69, of route 1, Manitowoc, lifelong resident of the city and
county, died this morning at the Holy Family hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Urbanek and Schlei
funeral home with interment in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Allwardt was born in this city in 1879 and 49 years ago married Miss Emma
Rambadt. He was employed as a molder for the Manitowoc Foundry company and the
Hoffman foundry until his retirement. Mrs. Allwardt died 20 years ago. For the
past 12 years he had made his home with a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Schmalfeldt,
on route 1. He was a member of the Royal league.
Survivors are a son, Lester of this city; daughter, Mrs. Schmalfeldt; grandson,
(private).
The body may be viewed at the funeral home after Monday noon until the hour
of services.
