Sister Mary Emily Seibert, OP, graduated from St. Cecilia Academy and entered the convent in 1909. A music teacher, she taught at St. Cecilia Academy in Nashville, Notre Dame High School in Chattanooga, Winchester Academy, and St. Mary’s School in Jackson, TN, as well as in Hampton, VA. In 1913 she was among the first faculty at Immaculate Conception School in Monmouth, IL. She was also among the first teachers at St. Patrick School in McEwen, TN in 1938, where she was superior for six years.
