She married Warren Hilton in 1960, had three children - David (1961), Diana (1967) and Debbie (1972). They lived in Fort Thomas Kentucky. In the early 80s, she, along with husband Warren and daughter Debbie, showed German Shepherd Dogs in local dog shows around the tristate area.
Carla served over 30 years at St. Luke East hospital in Fort Thomas as a Operating Room nurse and instructor. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing video games to pass the time. Her favorite being Dr. Mario (which she nicknamed "Dr. Pill").
She was one of the best cooks ever, her specialty being beef stroganoff. She had unmatched wit and humor and didn't hesitate to tell you exactly what was on her mind. She was diagnosed with bladder cancer in December 1995. They gave her 6-12 months to live. She made it 13 months, I think just to spite them! She was called to heaven in January 1997. We miss her terribly and think of her everyday.
The song "Turn Around" is a song Mom used to sing to my sister and me when we were little.
Where are you goin' my little one, little one?
Where are you goin' my baby my own?
Turn around and you're two
Turn around and you're four
Turn around and you're a young girl
Going out of the door.
Turn around,
Turn around,
Turn around and you're a young girl
Going out of the door.
(Turn around and you're a young wife
With babes of you're own.)
