Emily I. Finch
Emily Isabell Finch, 93, of Grover City, died Sunday, 28 June 1992, at a San Luis Obispo care center.
Visitation was to be held today from 2 to 6 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until service time at Lady Family Mortuary in Arroyo Grande. A funeral service will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the mortuary. The Reverend Bob Alexander of the Central Coast Baptist Church in Grover City will officiate. Private interment will be at Lady Family-Sutcliffe Cemetery in San Luis Obispo at a later date.
Mrs. Finch was born 21 May 1899, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and had been a resident of the area for over 23 years. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Central Coast Baptist Church. She was a member of the Friday Club, the Golden Fifties, the Grover City Senior Citzens Club. She was a also a member of the San Luis Obispo Fireman’s Auxillary.
She is survived by two sons, Pete Adams and his wife Marie, of Earp, and Harlan Finch of Oceano; a daughter Lynda Tilley and her husband, Alfred, of Nipomo; five granchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Finch, in 1975.
Donations may be made in her memory to Five-Cities Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 3151, Shell Beach, California 93448.
