In the Florida winters he attended First Assembly of God church in Fort Myers and during Kentucky summers, he attended Taylor Mill Pentecostal Church.
Attended Holmes High School. Enlisted in Navy Jan. 1943. Discharged Nov. 1945. USS Bradford. Received Medals: 1 Silver, 4 Bronze, Asiatic Pacific, Philippine Liberation Victory Medal.
