Everett T. Allwell, Jr., 61, of Ferriday, died Friday, September 28, 2001, at
Natchez Regional Medical Center in Natchez, Ms.

He was born Sept. 28, 1940, at Acme to the union of Avis Ann and Everett Triston
Allwell, Sr.

He was retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development and was employed as a civil engineer by Hammett and Hammett Associates and was a member of Jonesville Pentecostal Church.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at First Pentecostal Church of Jonesville and the Revs. Jack Knapp, Keith May, Gene Gaspard, and Michael Cole officiating. Interment followed in Knapp Family Cemetery of Deville under direction of Young's Funeral Home of Ferriday.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Allwell of Ferriday; one son, James "Butch" Allwell and wife, Debra of Nashville, Tn.; one brother, William Allwell of Winnfield; two sisters, Verda A. Anderson of Port Sulphur and Sherry Reech of
Bordelonville; and five grandchildren, April Deville and LeAnn Brooks, both Jena;
Bobby, Lana and Lindsay Dennis of Ashville, N.C.

Pallbearers were Bobby Arthur, Morris Ray Arthur, Henry Cotton, Brian Denny,
Randall Denny, Terry Guillory, Gary Hawks, Kenneth Hendricks, Tim Adams, Perry
Corbett, Wade Oliveaux, and Joby Weeks.

Honorary pallbearers were Bill Corbett, Harvey Gaspard, Rep. Bryant Hammett, Sheriff Randy Maxwell, Larry McManus, Dr. Jack D. Rodriguez, Dr. Barry Tillman, Dr. Randy Tillman, and Brent Gore.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the church of your choice.
