FROM THE LOGAN DAILY NEWS DATED: MONDAY, JANUARY 4, 2010:

Bob L. Starr, 82, of Logan, passed away Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, at Logan Health Care Center in Logan.

He was born March 27, 1927, in Hocking County, son of the late James and Burdella (Mullencamp) Starr. Bob was the widower of the late Bonnie Belle Hicks Starr.

He retired from Logan City Products, was a World War II Navy Veteran and a member of the Logan Moose.

He is survived by daughters, Brenda Starr of Westerville and Penny (Tom) Myers of Logan; grandchildren, Mindy (Curtis) Rose of Logan, Jamie (Matt) Beckett of Worthington, James (Melissa) Myers of Columbus, and Bobby (Amanda Watkins) Myers of Delaware, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Alex, Abigail, Keegan, Kive, Grayson, Tyler, Ashton and Cole; and a special niece, nephew and neighbors, Candy and John Trovato.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Dane Starr; and a sister, Mona Green.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 11 a.m., until the time of service.

The family suggests contributions be made in memory of Bob L. Starr to FairHope Hospice, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio, 43130, or Logan Health Care Center, 300 Arlington Ave., Logan, Ohio, 43138.
