Henderson - Leonard Dale "Rusty" Elliott, II, 61, Henderson, Nevada, passed away July 2, 2012 at Nathan Adelsons Hospice-Las Vegas, Nevada after a brief illness.

He was born August 2, 1950 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Anderson most of his life, moving to Nevada in 2004.

Leonard was a 1968 graduate of Madison Heights High School and served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam conflict.

He retired as a Journeyman Electrician from Saturn Division of General Motors in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Leonard volunteered as an engineer/conductor/brakeman for Southern Nevada Railway Museum.

He was a member of the Amateur Radio Club and the Re-peaters Club.

He is survived by his son, Robert Allen Elliott (Amanda); daughter, Lisa Lynn Elliott-Ashley; siblings, Katherine Elliott of Henderson, Nevada, Lizabeth Elliott-St. Clair of Carmel, Theodore Elliott of Noblesville, Paula Elliott-Bryan of Noblesville, Polly Elliott-Courtot of Plainfield and Daniel Elliott of Anderson; two great aunts, one great uncle; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard D. & Patricia A. (Smith) Elliott.

Services will be Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home, with Rev. Thomas Chapman officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson.
