Son of Bo and Martha Dee Baker

Bo pastored several churches before full time evangelism began. He was a young preacher boy when he pastored Union Chapel in Georgetown, Gholson Baptist near Waco, Walnut Springs Baptist Church, and then he was the pastor of Birchman Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth after he finished his seminary work. Bo felt the call to full time evangelism not long after Dick sensed God's leading to do the same. Their years of evangelism as The Baker Brothers lasted almost 20 years. In 1973, Bo was led to become the pastor of Plymouth Park Baptist Church in Irving, TX. He once again was blessed to be a part of a great, loving church. He also spoke to the entire Dallas/Ft.Worth metroplex everyday in his rush hour radio program On the Way with Bo Baker. He retired in 1988 and became their Pastor Emeritus. During those following years he served as an interim pastor in Buenos Aires, Argentina and in Wiesbaden, Germany. He continued to preach in many churches in revivals or special events, and during camp weeks at Glorieta Baptist Encampment in New Mexico. Often over the past 18 years, he was again on the platform with Dick, a team once again.

Bo had such a gift with words and he wrote many wonderful lyrics for several of Dick's melodys. Some of those songs are:
His Way…Mine!; Deeper With God; Calvary's Calling;
There Are So Many Valleys; The Carpenter; Mighty Things;
Abundantly; I Sing of New Life; Revive Again;Carry On (2006) And many others.

Bo continued to be a strong churchman, teacher, evangelist, author, and lyricist until he went home to be with the Lord on February 18, 2010. He was 86.
