Edwin Myron Stamper, 84, husband of Ovidia Pena Stamper, Lexington, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012. He was retired from the University of Kentucky Medical Library.
Born in Middletown, OH, he was a son of the late Curtis and Nora Mae Cox Stamper. He was a US Army veteran of World War II.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Robert Alan Stamper, Hobe Sound, FL, Susan G. (David) Wagers, Lexington and Linda Kaye (William) Varney, Chicago, IL; a sister, Barbara Hinderberger, Lexington, a brother, Dr. John Stamper, Indian Head, MD and grandchildren, Wesley Andrew Smith, William York Varney III and Mackenzie Smith (David) Martinez. A brother, Eugene Stamper preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 pm Friday at Milward-Southland with interment in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from noon to 1:30 pm Friday.
