He died when the truck carrying his unit overturned while on training maneuvers in Fort Bragg, NC. He graduated from Urbandale H.S. in Urbandale, IA, 1994. After graduation, Brandon accepted an athletic scholarship to Central Missouri State University, where he wrestled on the varsity team for three years. Brandon returned to Iowa and completed his college education, graduating from Upper Iowa University with Cum Laude Honors in 1998.
Brandon is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Marjorie; sister and brother-in-law, Michelle (Peter) Illian; niece, Emma; nephew, Andrew; grandparents, Joanne and Virgil Stanley, Kathryn Sprouse and Ernie Patterson; and great-grandparents, Guiliford and Evelyn Moore.
