Death of Mrs. Geo. E. Brewer.
The friends in LaFayette of Mrs. Geo. E. Brewer and Rev. Geo. E. Brewer, formerly residents of LaFayette, will regret to hear of the death of Mrs. Brewer, which occurred last Tuesday, in Notasulga. Lagrippe with complications was the cause of death. Mrs. Brewer having been ill two weeks prior to her death. Born August 8, 1839, in Coosa County. Mrs. Brewer was 75 years old. They had lived in Notasulga the past six years, moving from Montgomery. Before her marriage in Rockford, to Mr. Brewer, Dec. 20, 1854, she was a Miss Laura Suttles.
The deceased was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters and three sons as follows: Mrs. Sallie T. Bradford, of Notasulga, Mrs. Mattie L. Allen, of Columbus, Mrs. Mamie Espy, of Notasulga, and Messrs. E. Brewer, formerly of Opelika, now of Birmingham, S. O. Brewer, of Tuameah, Texas, and Chas. M. Brewer, of Valliant, Okla.
The funeral was held at Opelika last Wednesday, the services conducted by Rev. H. T. Crumpton, pastor of the Baptist Church at Notasulga. The sun extends sympathies to the bereaved family of this elect lady.
