Marion Kidd, age 45, and his son, Dennis age 13, are in jail here charged with the killing of Mrs. Ether Dobbs and the wounding of Deputy Sheriff Owen Worley at tbe Kidd home last Saturday. Marion Kidd who it is claimed states that he is bewitched, is charged with shooting his half niece, Mrs. Nettie Koger Dobbs, age 30, in the back with a rifle, from which wound she died a few hours later in the Somerset hospital.

Deputy Sheriffs James Castillo and Owen Worley went to the Kidd home to arrest Marion when the boy grabbed a shotgun and shot Worley in the head, causing a bad wound and the probable loss of an eye. Marion was arrested and the boy fled to the woods. Sheriff Lair and Castillo returned to the scene of the shooting and caught the boy at the home of his grandfather.

Kidd's troubles are probably the effects of wounds and gas received in the world war.
