HUTCHISON FUNERAL IS ATTENDED BY HUNDREDS
-----
David Park Hutchison Buried in Elmwood Cemetery Yesterday Afternoon.
-----
The funeral service of David Park Hutchison conducted yesterday noon at the residence on North Tryon street, was one of the most notable the city has known in years.

Hundreds of friends, representing city and county, attended the service at the residence and cemetery. Such a wealth of floral tributes has seldom been seen in the city. The entire plot in Elmwood was a mass of exquisite flowers.

The service was conducted by Rev. Dr. A.A. McGeachy, of the Second Presbyterian church, pastor and friend of Mr. Hutchison. The service consisted of scripture reading and a prayer of exquisite beauty by the pastor and a hymn, "Lead Kindly Light," sung with rare beauty of effect by W.H. Neal, a member of the Second church choir.

The interment was on the family plot in Elmwood, the attendance at the final rites being notable in numbers.

Among the relatives here from out of town to attend the funeral were Mrs. J.M. Odell and John Allison of Concord, Mrs. Phil Carlton, of Greensboro, Harvey and William Elliott White, of Graham, Col and Mrs. Leroy Springs and Elliott W. Springs of Lancaster S.C., and M.C. Quinn of Salisbury.

Dr. Stokes of Salisbury, one of the attending physicians during Mr. Hutchison's illness, was also here to attend the funeral.
