Celestine T. Johanek, age 88, of 18813 Nero Rd. Town of Two Creeks, WI, died late Saturday night, May 21, 2011 at the Hamilton Care Center, Two Rivers, WI. Celestine was born June 11, 1922 in the town of Two Creeks, WI, a son of the late Thomas J. and Catherine A. (Schleis) Johanek.

He attended the Lake View Country School in Two Creeks and also the Two Rivers Vocational School. Celestine worked many years for Henry Lehrmann, hauling milk and vegetables; the Two Creeks Garage; and later owned & operated the home farm until the present. He also worked as a self employed electrician in the 1950's & 1960's.

Celestine was also an accomplished musician, playing the clarinet & saxophone with the Two Creeks Farm Hands for almost 60 years. He was honored after 50 years of playing for his musical entertainment. Mr. Johanek also helped out playing with several other polka bands in the area, and he was a past member of the Squeekers Sip Club of Tisch Mills.

Survivors include several nephews: Dennis Grimm, Two Rivers, WI; David (Nancy) Johanek, Manitowoc, WI; Donald (Debbie) Johanek, Mishicot, WI and Dean (Tammy) Johanek, Wausaukee, WI;
two nieces: Florence (Herman) Burmeister, Two Rivers, WI and Audrey Johanek of Zander, WI;
several great nieces & nephews and cousins also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Daniel (Evelyn) Johanek, Sr.;
a sister Helen (Frank) Grimm;
and a nephew Daniel Johanek, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at St. Isadore the Farmer Parish in Tisch Mills. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dennis Drury, assisted by Deacon Bob Pribek. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at St. Isadore the Farmer Parish in Tisch Mills, from 3:30 p.m. until the time of Mass at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.
