Carrol Carr died February 11, 2003, in Oklahoma City. He was born May 17, 1928, to Michael and Gladys Whited Carr in Ottumwa, Iowa. He attended Iowa State University where he majored in Mechanical Engineering. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by American Standard in Dallas, Texas where he met and married Judith Pfefferle. The family moved to Oklahoma City in 1964 when Carrol joined an architectural firm. He soon started his own business designing heating and ventilating systems as a consulting engineer. He was active in the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Airconditioning Engineers. He enjoyed many years sailing the Oklahoma lakes. Carrol was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Richard Carr. He is survived by his wife, Judith and his daughters, Cindy Carr and Diana McPhail and her husband, James; grandsons, Jay, Kirk, and Connor McPhail; two nephews and a niece. We are grateful for the loving care he received at Deaconess Hospital in his last days. Memorial gifts may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation or the charity of your choice. The Family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Smith and Kernke, 1401 NW 23rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2003, at St. Patrick Catholic Church with interment to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
