She was the only sister in a family of five brothers. She was a loving mother, homemaker and caregiver to her late husband, Stanton. For almost sixty-nine (69) years, she took care of him, until his death, December 13, 2007. Kathryn was a member of the First Advent Christian Church, Elmore Memorial Church and the Winfield Community Church. Throughout her life, she served and worked for God, helping many people and teaching children about Jesus. The important things in Kathryn's life were God and family.
Kathryn and Stanton enjoyed time spent at their church events with their good friends. In the later years, they moved to Winfield, where they were close to their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, the joys of their lives. She was deeply involved in their care and education. Kathryn's family has enjoyed many good times over the years. She created a life-time of great memories for her family, by always being there for them, through all the special events that have formed their lives.
She is survived by
sons, Jerry K. Jordan and his wife, Sharon of Florida and Steven W. Jordan of Winfield;
granddaughter, Carla and her husband, Mike Taylor of Winfield;
grandson, Lee S. Jordan and his wife, Kim of Winfield; great-granddaughter, Baylee Ann Taylor;
great-grandson, Nicholas Michael Taylor both of Winfield;
two nieces, Genieve Sullivan of St. Albans and Gretta Ann Miller of South Charleston;
a special friend and care giver Marcia Chaney of Kentucky.
