Found in The State 28 December 1961: Funeral services for Joseph Albion Rahn, 232 S. Walker St.,...interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Mr. Rahn, 76, died Wednesday morning in the Columbia Hospital after an illness of several months. Born in Lexington County, he was a son of the late Dr. S. S. Rahn and Sallie Warren Parker Rahn. He made his home in Columbia for the past 50 years. Mr. Rahn was a graduate of Roanoke College, Salem, Va., class of 1907. After graduation, he was associated with Southeastern Weighing and Inspection Bureau of Atlanta, where he remained before retiring in June, 1956. He was a member of Wesley Memorial Methodist Church and a member of Richland Lodge 39, AFM. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Helen Jenkins Rahn; a step-daughter, Mrs. Harold E. Ross of Columbia; two nieces and two nephews, all of Jacksonville, Fla.
Joseph and Ellis are buried in the Edward and Margueriete Miller family plot.
