Florence, Jan 20 [1920] - Mrs W B Pettigrew received the news today of the death of her last relative, Miss Emily Harvie of Richmond, Virginia. Miss Harvie was 80 years old. She was the last surviving granddaughter of the late Chief Justice John Marshall. She was the youngest of a large family, all of whom are now dead, her nearest relative being a niece, Miss Ellen Wade, with whom she was living at the time of her death. Miss Harvie for the greater part of her life occupied the old Marshall home which was finally sold to be preserved by the association for the preservation of Virginia antiquities.
