Carmella A. "Millie" Riley (nee Viscuso), 81, of Bridgeton died late Friday evening September 17, 2004 at her home following a two year illness. The wife of Winfield W. "Winnie" Riley, she was born in Chester, Pa. and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Nancy Ferriola Viscuso.

After living in Philadelphia for a year, she moved with her family to Newport where she was raised on the family farm. A lifelong Bridgeton area resident, she had lived at her current address since 1950. Mrs. Riley was a seamstress and worked at Major Clothing in Bridgeton and also at K& M. Sportswear. She also worked from her home as a seamstress for many years. A member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Mrs. Riley was a former member of the altar and rosary society. In addition, she was a member of the Bridgeton Civic Club and for years belonged to a monthly card club. She also attended the Upper Deerfield Senior Center.

Mr. and Mrs. Riley were married for over fifty-six years and for more than forty years enjoyed snow skiing with their family and friends in New England. She also loved working in her vegetable and flower garden and enjoyed going to the casino.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Winfield W. "Bill" Riley Jr. and his wife Karen of Cary, NC and Chester D. "Chet" Riley and his wife Cecily of Upper Deerfield Township, six grandchildren, Justin, Miranda, Darren, Meghan, Shayna and Colin Riley, one great granddaughter, Destiny Riley, one sister, Phyllis Rider of Upper Deerfield Township, two brothers, Peter Viscuso of Boothwyn, Pa. and Joseph Viscuso of Vineland and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Morgan.

The funeral will originate at the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce St., Bridgeton and will be followed by a Funeral Liturgy at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 312 N. Pearl St., Bridgeton. The interment will be made at Overlook Cemetery, Bridgeton.
