Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Anuelle Sr. of Kenedy have announced the engagement of their, daughter, Gay, to Leonard H. Von Dohlen III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard H. Von Dohlen II of Goliad.
The wedding will be solemnized in late January in Our Lady , Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Kenedy.
Miss Aoueille is a graduate of Kenedy High School and currently is attending Southwest Texas State Teachers College in San Marcos, where she is a junior and a member of the Allie Evans Literary Society.
The bridegroom-elect was graduated from Goliad High School. He is now a senior at the University of Texas in Austin and a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.

Leonard H. Von Dohlen, III, 75, passed away Monday, December 21, 2009. He was born to Leonard H. and Elizabeth O'Connell Von Dohlen in Palestine, Texas on March 24, 1934. A long time resident of Goliad, Texas, he married Gay Aoueille on January 27, 1957. He founded Von Dohlen Motor Company in Goliad in 1964. He also served on the Advisory Boards of Texas State Technical Institute and the Bee County College. Leonard was an avid rancher, and an active community leader and economic developer, Owner of La Bahia Downs for over 30 years, and president of the Racing Board of Texas. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Goliad and also the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre. He is preceded in death by parents, Leonard and Elizabeth Von Dohlen, mother and father-in-law, Bernard and Ida Aoueille, daughter-in-law, Kim Von Dohlen and sister-in-law, Cherie Von Dohlen. A devoted and loving husband and father, Leonard is survived by his wife Gay Von Dohlen; children, Lenny Von Dohlen, IV of Seattle, Washington, John David Von Dohlen of Goliad, Texas, Mary Gay Von Dohlen of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Catherine and husband David Martin of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Kristal Von Dohlen, Katy Von Dohlen, Hazel Montgomery, Evan Martin; great granddaughter, Emry Stakes; sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Ben Horny of San Antonio, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Pat Von Dohlen of Austin, Texas and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 from 9 a.m. with the rosary beginning at 7 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Goliad, Texas. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 24, 2009 with Father Ralph Baidoo officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Goliad, Texas. Pallbearers will be his nephews Tim Horny, Andy Horny, Jeff Horny, Tim Von Dohlen, II, Chris Von Dohlen, Patrick Von Dohlen, Dr. Bernard Aoueille, III, Lee Aoueille, and John Aoueille. Donations may be made to the Goliad Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or a charity of your choice.
