Rex Lutz mostly taught Driver's Education at Beatrice Senior High School and taught for many decades there into the 1980s. Rex was known for having a sense of humor.

Survivors: daughter, Kathy Dusenbery, Parkville, Mo.; stepson, Ladd Hubka, Topeka, Kan.; stepdaughters, Julie Hartog, Wenatchee, Wash., Letty VanKleek, Springfield, Mo.; sister, Verlon Reifschneider, Pharr, Texas; ten grandchildren.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Centenary United Methodist Church, Beatrice. Evergreen Home Cemetery, Beatrice. Visitation: Wednesday, 5-9 p.m.; Thursday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel, Beatrice; Friday one hour before services, church. Memorials to Retired Teachers Scholarship fund, Neil and Vera Tubbs in charge.
